Both CD releases ('first by a whisper, then by a storm' and 'he spoke in dead tongues') were compiled from hours and hours of studio try-outs and rehearsals. Before any of the official releases, I studied and explored the possibilities intensely on how to establish the drone music of Fear Falls Burning. Using different set-ups (selection of the pedal effects, the routing, etc.) I recorded a huge collection of drones (most of them I deleted at once, some of them made it onto one of the albums) and I'll periodically podcast a series of outtakes. This is the first.
